How to get HSMP- Reference Number

Post by nsm2010 » Mon Aug 20, 2007 1:55 pm

Dear Seniors,
I have send my application thru courier on 12 August by DHL, reached and delivered on 14th August 2007. Fee paid thru DD. Since then I dont any information regarding my reference Number. Normally how long it takes to clear DD payments (i believe 3-5 days)?? are these 3-5 days excludes non-working days?? or not???.

I posted an email this morning on following address HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
regrarding my HSMP Reference Number but in vain.

Moreover I am trying to call HO with following Numbers
0044 114 207 4074
0044 114 207 6020
since 5 hours but all of the extensions requires reference number. couldnt get thru the recorded message. I am worried about my original documents a lot? not the outcome of the application. What to do? kindly suggest.

hi nsm2010,

you need to call those numbers which are

00441142074074 and 00441142076020 when u will call the recorded messege will ask u "if u have HSMp query please press 1" u need to press number 1 thats it...... call will be connected after a while.... I think today they r having some problem as I called earlier and called was dropped thrice after a waiting time of 5 minutes but fourth time I did manage to speak to an advisor... recorded message will not ask u for reference number.

try again, if not today may be tomorrow. it will take bit time but as soon ur payment will be processed they will issue u a reference number otherwise u can call them anyway. I am incountry applicant and still they sent my reference number after 9 days.

good luck

You should receive an email presently, as it's only been a week. Alternatively, you could phone the service-line using skype-out, which should prove significantly cheaper.

sorry to hear that u still cant get through... I dont know whats the problem but that much I know that u need to wait for a while... sometime we can get through in 5 minutes and somtime it take more than 15,20 min. what I would say that try to call them at sharp 9:00 am Uk time as they r open 9:00 am and hopefully u will get hold of somebody. I am not sure wether this will be successful but give it a try... I dont know about Saudi time but these days we have 4 hours difference between pakistan and Uk time.

UK time : 9:00 am
Pak time:1:00 pm

hope this helps. All the Best

I would second gordons idea as skype out calls are very cheap and same quality. waiting that long wont really bite you as much. you can buy initial 10 euros smth. here are the rates where you can buy them: http://www.skype.com/products/skypeout/ ... rrency=GBP

Try 0044 114 207 4074 and then press 3 instead of 1.
You will get connected to a customer rep, then provide them with your name and date of birth.

Hope this works for you.
Regards

Dear Buddies!
I called up HO early morning 9:00 clock (UK time)sharp and got my HSMP refernce number. Thanx a lot for Alina and J for their help, guidance and moral boosting. The number conveyed to me is HS 278XXXXXX (9 digits) as compare on Trackitt.com site with only 6 digits?????. Is it normal?

I asked about the status and they told me The Case worker is not yet assigned on your case. Now freinds, Tell me about the reference number? is it correct??? and mor importantly how to track the complete rocess??? Kindly guide me.
