unrestricted CoS allocation - time taken by UKBA ?

Hi, I am currently on a Tier 2 (General) visa expiring in Jan. 2017. I found a new job in early Sept. 2014 where the new employer wants me to start in mid-October. The new employer/ sponsor has an A-rated sponsor license & submitted a CoS allocation request to the UKBA on 23rd Sept. 2014 for a new unrestricted COS for me.

But, it has been over 2 weeks now and the CoS's allocation status is still being shown "pending" in their visa management (SMS) account.

Can anyone tell me how long does it normally take for a sponsor to get 1 unrestricted CoS allocated by the UKBA ? Kindly let me know soon. Thanks.

Usually COS allocation meeting is held at 11th of each month and those applications are process which were assigned before or 5th of that month. This is what i know .. wait for other answers too.

Thanks for your reply. However, I thought the reviewing of CoS applications on 11th of each month was for restricted CoS and not unrestricted CoS.

From what I've read online, a sponsor can request an unrestricted CoS to be allocated at any time and it is processed within 2 days to 2 weeks which is why I'm worried as it has now been 2 weeks & 3 days since my sponsor requested for an unrestricted CoS for me.
If anyone has further info. on this, please let me know soon. Thanks.

Or can the unrestricted CoS allocation request be made by the sponsor to the UKBA any time and is processed within 2 days to 2 weeks ? What is the actual timeline for this process ?

Did you get a reply on your Unrestricted Cos? I myself am waiting and applied on 29th September. Spoke to UKBA and they said the current processing time is 3 weeks.

Hi, I haven't received the unrestricted CoS yet. My sponsor applied for it on 23rd Sept. 2014.
I will update in this forum post when my sponsor gets the CoS for my application.

My employer applied for it on 6th Oct 2014 and it's still pending.

Just wanted to inform everyone that my new employer just got a CoS granted for me today.
They had put in a CoS allocation request for an unrestricted CoS on 23/09/2014 (Tue). Hope this helps other applicants regarding the CoS processing timeline.

Do you have any idea how long will it take to allocate unrestricted COS?Our company has been given A rated sponsor however there was no allocated unrestricted COS.We requested for 3 unres COS but we are still waiting for 3 weeks already.Is it true that it will gonna take about 3 months before UKBA can give unres COS to the company?enlighten me please
