Hi all i have an ILR just got it last month ( from tier1 ) . Am getting married next month and for spose visa sumone in India told that i will need to show my tenency agreeement. I live as a paying guest in sumones house since last 3 yrs and dont have ant tenancy agreement or utility bills. Just have bank statements, driving license etc in my name on this address. How do i sort this out. Is tenancy agreement compulasary? pls help.

In fact, you'll need more than just a tenancy agreement in that case. Property inspection report is also required, among other things....

Neither a tenancy agreement nor a property inspection report is compulsory.

U r right Vinny but ECO can refuse application if no tenancy agreement and even inspection report not present with the application.

Dont give ECO any chance to refuse the application. Submit all the supporting documents.
