Tourist Visa - Apply oci in India

Hi,

We recently got our British passport and surrendered our indian passports. My wife and kid have plans to stay for 4 months in India.

Does the tourist visa (6 Months) have any restriction of 180 days per visit? Also, is it for single entry or multiple entry?

Do i need to fill in undertaking letter just in case if we do multiple entries within span of 2 months?

Can we apply oci in india whilst in tourist visa?

with a 6 month visa you can't exceed 180 days as the validity of the visa will also expire.

Yes you can. There were some cases where FRRO insisted on Long term (x) visa or atleast 1 year visa visa for OCI applications from india.
