Post by Miangee » Sun Oct 19, 2014 12:48 am

Hi all members

Just want to know 18600.00 income requirement is gross salary or net salary
The gross salary of 1550.00 but after all tax and paye and other deductions net salary go to bank around 1300 per month is fulfil the requirement or not
and if one month out of 6 month net salary is low due to unauthorised unpaid holiday then how they will calculate it.

The £18600 requirement is gross earnings.

At 18606.06 over 12 months this just hits the mark,

Yes, but the lowest monthly payment in the 6 month period will be multiplied for the annual calculation. Are you paid by the hour or do you have a fixed salary?

I believe OP meant Net Salary of 15500.

Because if 15500 is the gross. He will not qualify.

However as you stated that 1300 goes into your account , and that will work out at 15600 over a 12 months period, I assume the 15500 is net pay.

If one month pay before that is so low , such that you don't meet the requirement, then the option is open to you to use the last 12 months earnings. If it exceeds 18600, then you will be fine.

Hey Obie,

if part 1 of Cat B is not met, calculating the last 6 months, x 12 is around 15,000 but over the last 12 months its 19,300 so is part 2 of Cat B sufficient to use this option?

Thanks

To be honest with you Michael , your question don't seem to make much sense to me.

Apologies, tiredness is to blame.

I meant that in the last 12 months I have earnt over 18,600 but in the last three months I have been out of work and starting a new job next week. I have read that to meet part 1 of Cat B, they calculate the last 6 months in part 1 and in part 2 the entire last 12 months.

For example Under part (1) of Category B, the applicant’s partner’s current annual employment income = (gross earnings over the last 6 months, divided by 6) multiplied by 12 = ((3500+0+0+2300+3400+500) ÷ 6) x 12 = (9,700 ÷ 6) x 12 = £19,400

Under part (2) of Category B, the applicant’s partner’s actual employment income over last 12 months = £20,000 So both part (1) and part (2) of Category B are met.

I meet part 2 but not part 1 so will I be refused?

Thanks Obie

I think you're confusing Cat A with part 1 of Cat B.

Cat is simply having earned £18600 in the last 12 months AND currently in a job that pays £18600 per year or the equivalent if pay is per hour, day, etc.

Hi
I just make it more clear for understanding
my gross pay is 1550.00 per months 1550x12= 18600 years
My net pay come after all deduction is 1550.00 -143.00 tax - 107.00 NI deduction =1300.00 per month comes in my account show in bank statement which is net pay 15600 per years
My question is do I meet income requirement
If yes what sort of documents is required other than 6 payslip +six month statement

I think you are mixing up Cat A and B.

The first Scenario is Cat A unsalaried, and the Second appears to be Category B.

The purpose of the first scenario, is to work out the annual earning of a non-salaried employer.

Yep, you are right. My wife has confused Non-Salaried employment in Cat B and confused me too!

Thanks again
