Naturalisation questions

Post by hml9 » Tue Oct 14, 2014 10:27 pm

I have ILR since Oct13. I passed the life in the UK test in sep13.
On the first week of nov14, if possible, I will apply for naturalisation as a british citizen.

Is the life in the UK test still valid after a year?

I hold a Masters degree from the London school of economics in 2002. It was obviously taught in English.
Does that satisfy the language requirement?

My wife also has ILR since Oct13 but she will not an english test. Is there any benefit for me to wait until she passes the English test and we apply together?

So far as I have heard, there is no more any discount for applying together.

Here are a few more questions:

1. Is the life in the UK test from 28 sep 2013 still valid now?
2. I hold a Masters degree from the London school of economics in 2002. It was obviously taught in English. Does that satisfy the language requirement?

This is the list of items I would send:
1. Form, signed and dated, and with referees signed in as well
2. My current passport (original)
3. My Life in UK Test(original)
4. Certificate of my Masters degree (original)
5. Letter of my current employer and 2 previous employers for proof of residence in past 5 years (is this required?)

Is there anymore required?

3. My Life in UK Test(original) You need whichever proof you used
4. Certificate of my Masters degree (original)
5. Letter of my current employer and 2 previous employers for proof of residence in past 5 years (is this required?) Not needed

Is there anymore required? Do you have a BRP for your ILR

Yes I have a BRP red card for my ILR. I would send that too.
Thank you very much
