marriage certificate required?

Post by david1955 » Mon Oct 27, 2014 10:09 am

Hi Everyone,
I hope someone can advice me. My ILR appointment as a tier 2 general is on next wednesday. i have lots of cohabitation documents in place covering every single month for last 2 years. My question is do i have to provide marriage certificate again?, as i have already provided in my previous application when my wife was granted entry clearance in may 2012 and again when we had our tier 2 extension done in nov 2012.

Please advice

You need it to prove that your marriage is subsisting (remains in force because of the marriage certificate and he/she is your spouse) and you are indeed living together by showing cohabitation documents.

Marriage certificate is not compulsory requirement I provided once marriage certificate when my wife applied 1st time. Since than I applied 3 times along with her and neither I provided marriage certificate again and nor asked by UKBA.
