10 years long residence applications

Hi everyone,

Alhamdulillah. We got our approval of ILR

Our time line is
Applied on: 11/07/2014
Approval date: 21/10/2014
Docs received: 23/10/2014

Briefly our case is that we are on section 3C & 3D as visa extension was refused and appeal right was given but UKBA withdraw appeal one day before court hearing. While waiting for the decision we vary our existing application to ILR as we completed 10 years.

I have a question about ILR.
Here is the situation to this case.10 years in this country is due on Jan 2015, but there is an issue..in 2011 March me and my wife went back home to apply for her student visa..but we never got our visa till Oct 2011..and we came back in the country on Dec 2011..so there was a gap of almost 9 months..but it was an exceptional case that they took so long to give the visa..all that time my passport was with UKBA and my visa was never rejected..adding to that when we applied from back home i still had my old student visa due to expire on august 2011..so we applied 5 months before the visa was expiring. I need you member to be kind and answer this question since I don't know the correct answer to this.

I need urgent help, i withdraw my appeal on 27/08/14 and apply set (lr) on same day and my wife apply separately FLR (m) on same day of appeal withdrawal. We receive withdrawal confirmation dated 12/09/14 from court.
We did biometric on 18/09/14. Upto know things was ok. But today my wife's application come back with a letter stating that your application is voided and fee will be returned ( only my wife application).
I am confused now what to do? Shall I reapply or what ? Even 28 days are passed from appeal withdrawal.
Please share your knowledge . Thanks

It's so confusing and nerve wrecking Wish I hadn't made the mistake of sending the wrong version of the application! Has anyone else experienced delays in payment processing when you haven't made a mistake in payment details?

I think you should have sent the version 07/14 on 22nd sept but did you fill up the payment section properly specially ticked the amount £1093 in A1. It clearly says if you don't tick it they wont be able to take payment from your card and your application will be rejected.

Yes, i remember doing all the needful in the latest version. Just to be on the safe side, I resent the signed payment page on 4th which they have received on 7th October! Hmm..I wonder why they're not collecting the payment! :S[/quote]

This is something you need to ask them over the phone. It had happened with me once (back in 2007 when I applied for my IGS visa) but they returned my documents with in 2 weeks of submitting my application. I don't know what's the current situation. So the moral of story is always check the forum about how to fill each and every section of the form. I personally know plenty of guys here asking minor questions in this forum and they filled their forms with the help of very supportive members of this forum.[/quote]

How you applied ? Did you send any specific docs ?
Did you included dependents ? And did you informed court tribunal or case worker or HO about appeal and all !

hi guys, want to share some good news with you.
I did apply ILR (LR) on 11th July 2014, got my approval today on 23rd of October 2014.
a quick brief about my case. I was on section 3c 3d for the past few months as my last extension for Tier 1 general was refused. I still have pending appeal. My application took an interesting turn as I was preparing myself for appeal hearing on 24th of october but just a day before it, got approval letter.
Unlike other people suggesting withdrawal of appeal, I did't withdraw my appeal but instead applied long residence soon after completion of my tenth year.

my time line is.
applied: 11th july 2014
acknowledgement letter received: 14th july 2014
biometrics done on: 13th August 2014
Approval letter received on: 23rd October 2014

You will need to speak to HO and tell them you need identification documents in order to sit in exam. HO usually give your passport back for certain period of time so that you can sit in your exam. Later you will need to return your passport. If you try to travel abroad on that document or delay to return your passport. HO can reject your application/ appeal.

1-MASTER Degree
2-Life in the UK test
3-All visa's since 2005 on passport
4-student visa (4 year), 2 year PSW, HSMP...
what else I need for application (documents) and how much on bank statement.

5. Current BRP (if you have)
6. 2 photographs
7. Photocopy of section C documents
8. Latest correctly filled set (lr) form

True... 53 applicants so far in the tracker and increasing daily. I believe HO would have received overall around 700 applicants in that busiest month. Surprisingly, today is the 27th of October and so far only 5 people have applied in the month of October to date.

Hi hadi2012,
It shouldn't be a huge problem, but I would suggest to bring your books in order, NINO is not that bigger a deal, you can always ask them for the pending payments and try to pay it off, Tax I know can be a bit of an issue, as mostly that is bigger amounts, but you can always ask the tax man to make instalments for you and at least you are paying some thing rather than complete default.
But just to make you clear normally that should not be a problem for SET(LR) application.

Do you have any government proof ID. If not contact home office and explain your story and they will guide you as to what you need to do.
