August 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

dks100: I received the approval letter as you are saying that I should contact the council ( this was on Saturday). When I contacted (Monday) the council to book a ceremony, they said that I should wait for a invitation letter from them. I informed them that the approval letter was dated in 14th Oct so you they should have my certificate. She told me that this does not matter.

So I kindly asked her to check if she can see my certificate at the office. She went away for 5 min and then told that she got my certificate and that I should receive an initiation letter to attend ceremony next week on Tuesday. So I requested private ceremony.

By the time I went back home on Monday, I found the original invitation letter which apparently was sent last week before I call them.

My advice is try to ask the office to check in the office if they got your certificate instead of waiting to receive the letter by post. Anyway, I think you will receive the invitation letter tomorrow.

friday: They checked and confired me that they have received both the certificates. As when I booked my ceremony, 5 minutes later he council called me and ask are you pickin up your son 's certificate as well as it is there with them, I told them I have not received any such letter for my son then they told that the letter is must and they talked to HO and they informed that similar letter has been despatched on the same day 21st for my son and they told that HO will despatch anothe one possibly might have lost in post, but in the second mail I received his letter as well today. So there is no separate letter for approval and ceremony. It is the single letter which mention about approval and ask me to arrange ceremony.
Council also told me that normally they receive certificate on Monday only and they did ceremony yesterday so the next ceremony on 12th Nov.

Nail bitting moment for me too as i have applied on 7th August from NCS sale and expecting the approval to be arrived.Should I contact my local council to check if they have received my approval ?

Tuesday and Wednesday have passed by with little news, these two days were standstill and calm caused by the weekends.
Letters received on Monday are actually approvals posted on previous Friday.

Next 3 days we'll se more approvals - what has been approved on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and deliberately posted second class, taking 2 days to deliver.

nm: I do not think there is a harm in contacting your council to enquire if they received your certificate. They will ask you if you received the approval letter and the date. Just mention that you received it last week, and ask if they could check in the office for your certificate. Maybe mention that you want this urgently and require a private ceremony so that they seriously help you!

I am yet to hear back from homeoffice but i can see the August submisions are getting approved.
Decided to call the natinality line to get an update on my application and their response was " still under considerration"

I will keep waiting and share with everyone when i get my approval letter. Congrats to those who received theirs last week and this week.

My expected timeline was 31-10-2014 on the dashboard and got the letter on exact date

Congrats krisbal. You mentioned home office sent back all original documents. However in my case the original documents were never taken during NCS service. They had taken the photocopy only.

The thing I found worth of attention is that Prahar and Krisbal got their approval strange dated - 25-th and 26-th of October.
Which stands for Saturday and Sunday correspondingly.

Do they work on weekends? This is so very little likely to Britain especially for government organisations. Does that mean that all these approvals are automatically scheduled?
