Yes you are right. Call the council and they should have received it at the same time as yours. Provide them with the details and they will book ur ceremony.

Hi,first congratulation for receiving the good news,after that to answer to ur question I reed and heard u have to take ur oat within 3 months from the date of issue of ur approval and not from the date u received it,in ur case 3 months from 25/10/14...good luck in the future with anything u want achive...may the good karma be on everyone side....

I applied for me and my son under 16 at the same time and we both got separate individual single letter

(I checked with home office for my approval letter as the letter sent to me was more look like invite letter, The home office explained me that if you have applied through NCS then sometimes a single letter for invite which includes approvals also).

The letter represents approval as well as invite for certificate ceromony.

Then I contacted council, they need invite letter for each individual

(Initially it came for me which I informed as it appeared that my son 's letter was lost in post, council then talked to home office and home office posted another letter for my son which I got today but in the 's mean time my son 's letter arrived before ceromony)

The council will arrange for your certicate handover ceromony for you so you are right council will give you certificate as home office sends certificate to council only, which will be given to each of you who have applied alongwith you separately after the oath ceromony.
