URGENT please help

Post by gbhsmp » Wed Nov 05, 2014 6:55 pm

Hi,

My daughter passport is expiring soon and she is holding an Indian passport.
She is India now. She is a minor.
My wife holds Indian passport.
I have received my UK naturalisation letter (so I am not Indian anymore).

Almost all places say that both parent's passports must be submitted to Indian passport office when renewing the minor passport.
I am confused now on how to do this. We decided my daughter to remain as Indian and me going to INDIA with OCI and staying for a long time.
Now, how can we renew my daughter's passport ?
Will INDIAN consulate here give the notarized letter even if I am not INDIAN citizen ?

I know I can delay applying for British passport but legally my INDIAN passport is not valid anymore since I have received the naturalisation letter.

Has someone gone through this situtation ?

Confused.

Yes, the high commission of india in london can issue a affidavit for applying your daughter's passport even if you are a british citizen. All important information can be find here - https://www.hcilondon.in/minor.html
