Guess august applications are getting processed slowly?

Post by ikon1400 » Wed Aug 29, 2007 11:33 am

hi all,

By just seeing the timelines of the applications processed at the Ho, it seems ther is a quite long wait for most of applicants.

I see that from when compared to the month of june/july the processing is really slow.
Does anyone sense some reason behind this?

Cheers

Hi ikon1400,
I guess HO people would also be lean on staff due to summers.

Thanks,
Aman

Probably some unrelated reason like more case workers being on their summer holidays. Or probably applications have increased with more people making applications with confidence as the system becomes clearer with time. The first few months after the changes in Q1 '08 will probably also lead to a slowdown in apps which will steadily rise as more people become more informed and inturn slow down the processing time. Just a theory anyway!

Normally they are taking 20-25 days to reach to the decision. I got my approval in August in 21 days only.

If you look at the processing timeline, there is a pattern as to when it is more slow and when it speeds up.
That's all there is to it except, of course, major events like when they changed it from 4-5 years for ILR, or when HSMP first started, the first year renewal took forever so there you go.
