Tier1 extension - Driving offense by court

Hi,

I am a Tier1 General holder.
I got a fine from court as I drove a car with out insurance.
Does this affect my tier1 extension and ILR?

Please advice.

I had, 4 points speeding, another 4 points speeding and 6 points no insurance, and disqualified 6 months. All of them offences dealt with court. Managed to extend tier 1 same day at Croydon 2 weeks back .

Any idea what criteria the Home Office use for traffic offenses?

Any chance you come across anyone who got the visa application rejected due to the traffic offenses (like driving with out insurance)?

2. Under current rules, to be free from unspent convictions is not a requirement for Tier 1 (General) extension (245CA).
3. Under current rules, one must be free from unspent convictions when applying for settlement as a Tier 1 (General) migrant (245CD(a)).

What does "Unspent Conviction" mean? If you get fine then there's no conviction to "spend" isn't it?

A fine is an unspent conviction until it's paid I believe.

I think the sentence for driving with out insurance is not just a fine, it may have 6 or more points in the license, ban etc..

I am asked to attend the court instead of paying the Fixed Penalty.
The link says the court can disqualify the offender.
If it is a disqualification, then I assume there should be minimum period I have to wait to apply for a new license again.
I am not sure whether or not that period will be considered like a rehabilitation period (or unspent conviction period)?

Any thoughts please.

I am the main applicant.But my dependents and spouse are all fine.
