If you applied with CAT A and have been in the same job for more than 6 months then you will be fine. February to July is 6 months worth of payslips

I applied Cat A, same job for 2.5 years. Thanks for that - i got a bit worried that it may be "5 months worth" instead of 6!

When Imran khan started his dharna in Islamabad it was august.. ans from 12th august onwards bhc was closed I think .. till like 20th august ..so they would not have taken any cases at that time ..

Enjoying?

Working our socks off, more like.

Some are lucky they can get by with less than 12-18k net.

Some can't - running 3 houses. :|

And I'm going to see the mrs start of December. Booked tickets

That's £4k gone right out of window!

Oh, it's only the 4th time this year 8)  :o

I haven't been back since I got married. I've been working my backside off just to meet everything and get by. We all have our own situations, but it's nice that we can support one and other on here and pray for each other. If my wife doesn't get her visa this time, I'll be going back. I wish It was easier and more fair.

Can I ask for some help please

If someone's claiming tax credits (child and working tax) would that be a problem to apply for spouses case ? My friends been claiming tax credits and she rang them and told them that her hours have increased and he is earning more to apply for her partner, and they told her that she is still entitled but to a lesser amount ? I wasn't too sure but a thought came that would it be best for her to stop claiming benefits altogether or should she be ok to continue ? :-s

Yes, BIG problem!!

Child tax credit and child benefit is different - childs entitlement.

Working tax credit you'll only get if your income is low. Sub 18k.

And if you get working tax credit, it means you do not earn enough to survive on your own job - no chance of getting spouse visa. Your case will be rejected without even looking!

Um I think ur forgetting the only way of applying is not through meeting the 18k and if anyone is niave enough to get a answer on a forum and no where else clearly has no sense

Thank you both for the replies

Th3

How much tax credit someone's gets are worked out from a previous years employment. So if currently someone is earning more then or 18k, they will ask their earnig from April 2013 to april 2014.. This is what is confusing

I contacted the UKVI again today and this is what i received

Dear Syed Salman Gilani,
Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.
We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWFXXXXXXXXXX and date of birth
XX/XX/19XX) and found that your application has not yet been assessed by an
Entry Clearance Officer (ECO)
. Each application is assessed individually
and processing times may vary, hence applicants are requested to be patient
whilst processing is completed. Your visa application centre or the entry
clearance officer (ECO) will contact you once a decision has been made or,
if necessary, during the consideration of your application
