In most cases they dnt contact referees. They only contact referees if they need more information about you.terreis wrote:Those of you who have had approvals already, do you know if referees are always contacted or not? My referees have still not been contacted, and I applied on 2 June via NCS ...
My qualifying criteria: EEA national in the country for 10+ years, working legally for 5, since finishing studies, and married to BC for 7, but NO ILR, which seems to be a terrible black mark). Needless to say, I still haven't heard anything, and as post has been and gone today, today isn't the day either. I'm starting to wonder if they are blacklisting EEA nationals, and really regretting giving them £1k of my money, when they are already getting enough through mine and my husband's taxes...
Unfortunately there is no 'joint application' system for naturalisation (anymore!).. Each application is processed separately irrespective of whether you are applying for self or self+partner (i.e. £906 per application submitted).AmITheStig wrote:Eligibility criteria: Tier 1 + 1 year ILR
