Phoned UKBA and was told to hang up and try option 1, then 2 (for applications not yet submitted). Then I got a recording saying the call centre was closed for 'essential staff training' and I should ring back later today.Londonlycanthrope wrote:Eligibility criteria: ILR (spouse of BC)

I don't know how true it is because when I applied using NCS several months back I got ack letter and recently my wife applied in Oct and she also got the ack letter although she got it a bit late compared to other people who reported their timeline. She also provided an email address but she never got any emails.Julian11 wrote:FYI. On the phone today they said that NCS people often never get acknowledgement letters since we know that the HO has received it given that we sent it via the NCS.

Indeed, everyone seems to get one, but it's been nearly a week and a half since my fees were taken and letters ted to go out around the same time, so maybe it is something they are starting to do? The lady looked me up to make sure I was the system and indeed I am, so I guess letter or not, things are moving along (I hope!).zeusmagnanimous wrote:I don't know how true it is because when I applied using NCS several months back I got ack letter and recently my wife applied in Oct and she also got the ack letter although she got it a bit late compared to other people who reported their timeline.
