September 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Can someone provide me with a check lit on the required documents pls

Language criteria met ( B1 test):
Current nationality: Iraqi
Method of application: royal mail
Council name if NCS used: No
Date of application: 10/09/14
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: CC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 15/09/14
Date of acknowledgment: 24/09/14
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 22/09/14

what if i called them?? are they going to tell me if it is approved or not? i mean everyone call them receive the same feedback, "processing" is that true or not?

It seems am the only one yet to receive his approval....

Anyway its friday tomorrow, wouldnt let this wear me off.....am sure mine is in a traffic of mails at the post office lol...have to keep the positive spirit up...lol

Have you given the HO a call to see the progress of your application?

Sometimes they may tell you if decision has been made. They won't tell you the decision itself.
I have also seen people calling them for update only to find out that they were sent a letter asking for more info which they never received. Nothing to lose even if they say its under consideration.

If it was the CW who called you, that means it's in progress or probably decided already. I would give them a call today and check the progress.

I called them 2days ago and the lady I spoke with wasnt keen to take my reference number to check on my application status, rather she was insisting to know if my application was past 6months or less and when I said less she transferred me to the less than 6months line. The asked if I have received my acknowledgement letter and when I said yes. they said that means its in progress and I should contact them if I havent received any news afer 6months...awesome innit....Just what i wanted to hear...

i guess it depends on whom you speak with at the HO, I will give them a call today to see if I will get any luck. But I have to keep the smiling face as if everything is alright....shouldnt I?;)

Or does anyone have any tips to scale the huddle of at least getting the HO to check on your status?

Call the HO and use the "less than 6 months" option. Ask them to check the progress of your naturalization application. Works for me.

I think this is a new thing, just spoke with them just now and same process..

HO - have you received your acknowledgement letter
Me - yes
HO - has the 906 pounds been taken from your account
Me - yes

HO....that means your application is being considere and we cant check on the progress of your naturalisation application untill 6months is over...

I guess its a new strategy they developed.

I would say that I know it is in progress but I have been having some issue with my post lately so can you check if they have sent me any letter in case it has gotten lost as my other mail do.

Yea...used your method...lady said no correspondence or letter has been sent out as per the records on my system just yet...
At least I wouldnt expect any approval letter just yet:(

It seems Volly (#29 on dashboard) got his/her approval (from general thread).

Eligibility criteria: 27 month spouse visa + 1,4 ILR
Language criteria: IELTS band score 6 (used for entry clearance visa in 2011) meets B1 criteria (although has expiry date 2 years , confirmed by HO via email still acceptable if used previously for entry clearance) and LIUk exam (used for ILR)

but because they already asked about my new address I hope so that they already took the decision and will send the letter soon.
