Tier 2 change of Sponsor- RLMT and Dependent Question

Post by oadamson » Mon Nov 17, 2014 4:01 pm

Dear All,

I am changing sponsors under Tier 2 (G) and will like to know exactly what happens to the RLMT? Do we need to forward the advertise to the home office at the end of the 28 days?

Also, do I need to change my dependent's permit as well or can they continue on the previous dependent visa? If they do, can I do the dependent visa separately at a later date for obvious financial reasons?

I am sure this has been answered before and I have genuinely tried to find this information elsewhere on this forum without much luck.

You dont have to do anything as part of your application. Your new employer needs to keep all the records with them. UKVI may ask for the records during their audit process.

Since your dependent's visa is based on your visa, ideally, their existing visa becomes invalid once you change to a new one. However, they need not apply along with you. They can apply later once you get your new visa. Now, I'm not sure of how much time we can keep them on the old visa. Maybe seniors can confirm. Personally, I think earlier the better.
