Can Tier2 Dependant Work?

Post by capitansuat » Mon Nov 17, 2014 9:06 pm

Hello All,

I wonder if Tier 2 General Visa holders dependant can work in UK? We also applied for General Partner - Work Visa but our visa agency told us that, my husband can take limited work visa, limited for up to 15 hours per week.

I will be very happy for and clarifications.

Best Regards,

The spouse of a work permit holder is entitled to take up any lawful employment.
Except for a doctor in training position.

The dependant of a Tier 2 holder is free to work in the UK as long as the endorsement in their passport places no restriction on their employment here.
