I think there will be no approvals now since the next ceremony is just around the cornor... Also I wanted to request mates on this forum who are going to be naturilzed on 24 Nov to cordially ask to the dept representatives (if possible!) when is it possible to have next ceremony, and also when they are going to roll out new approvals.....

ayush - you are not 6 months yet, are you? did she say specifically about your application?

if you share with us your timeline tracker, it would be grateful.

Hi Guys, I have been a quiet spectator of your post since July 2014. I applied in late July 2014 on the basis of Spouse of Irish citizen

1st Ack: 1August 2014
2nd Ack:1 Sept 2014

After that no more updates. Every time I ring them I got the same reply " waiting for Garda Reports etc.". However, today when I rang them the lady confirmed from me my name and address and told me that she is seeing my application is being processed (the exact words she used " I am seeing here that they are working on your application and that's why I am confirming your address so that you receive the decision at correct address") and I should expect a decision soon (Exact words she used " couple of weeks").

I think this a glimpse of hope that Approval letters will be posted immediately after the next week ceremony. What do you guys think?

@eagle007 and @Ayush2014
You both have shared a very interesting information.. Lets see how much is the reality in it... I myself applied late July and For the last 2 months waiting for something to happen...

@all
Please share who have called today to talk to the lady and got the same reply... If the sample is big enough than I think we can start hoping that our applications are done and its a matter of time to get the positive reply

Best of luck to all who applied and waiting....

xxxxxx a chara,

Many thanks for your email and let me apologise for the delay in getting back to you.

I will most definitely raise this issue with the Minister, I have also come across the same delay when making representations on behalf of constituents.

Once again, many thanks for taking the time to contact me.

ps. i always though greencard stamp 1 then stamp 4 holders have preference, but your application took 4 months after 2nd ack.. something strange here.. have they asked for extra documents or do you have court/traffic etc fines?

Kal - have they asked you to submit clarification or documents regarding drink driving? and when the incident happened? if it was lately then you will wait for long!

it would be safer to show that you have been obeying for last 6 years.. letters of recommendation and character from your employer, a neighbor (irish), friend (irish) and most important one would be from a local charity that you are helping etc (a one day volunteering over weekend will get you a thank you letter and you can submit it!).. these are the only ones will defo speed up the thinking of how worth it you are..

they usually send the day after the ceremony and they keep arriving until the end of the week/early or following week.

why wait? sending such letters defo dont harm and increase chances.. if they approved it already by then, then let it be, otherwise, it speeds up things when new doc is added as it refreshes your case
