Congrats to everyone who receive the approval letter , i don,t know which way they are working as i read on forum today few people applied in May and got approvals while i applied in April second week , never ever was illegal in the state in my last 8 years in Ireland, never ever commit a crime including traffic crime in my 8 year history in the state, never claimed social welfaare, doesn,t it mean my case seem simple rather than complex case ? i think the only fault which i can think is my status which is Stamp 4 EUFAM whome they don,t like to give the citizenship easily and keep delaying their applications.

@ bluemoon2

I think you need to send them a good email, or if you have a solicitor get him to write a letter asking for a current status on your application, hopefully this will help let us know how you get on? By all means you should get a positive news soon

Good luck

I would definitely get a solicitor than to write a letter, as far as I know once you pass six months waiting time period you can start asking them how long More they need,
Also as you mentioned they don't like 4 eufam, I know lot of guys who got sorted Within 6 months or less so your one shouldn't be an issue specially with good character
But again we are in ireland you can expect anything Here

I already pm'ed you yesterday, but in case it did not arrive, below the answer:

Hello Status change!

Yes you can travel with no problem, however, bring these 3 things with you when you come back

1- if you are visa required national, make sure its not expired (your re-entry visa in your passport) as no airline will let you board when you come back to ireland if visa on your passport is expired

2- take a photo copy of your GNIB (not needed, but good to have it)

3- your approval letter to show to passport officer in dublin when/if he asks for gnib card

a lot of my friends done it and many here in forums and all worked perfectly fine.

I think its really better to have an atested copy of your GNIB card... So to prove that its a copy of an original..... you can either go and do it with Solicitor or at the Garda Station....

Saad, the garda (passport officer) have same program of GNIB in airport and actually get all your information by time their swipe your passport and know the expiry of the gnib.. only reason they ask for in case its stolen, forged or taken by garda.. its just to make your life miserable and nothing else.. letter of approval should suffice (a lot used only a copy of the letter of approval and never got questioned about the original.. simply because they know in the system that gnib card is returned for natrulisation purposes)

by the way saad - you applied on july 31st, right? and on stamp 1 and 4 (i presume that means employment/green card).. you should have been included by the approvals now as a lot got approvals whom they applied same period of yours..

congrats amison!

travel document is a document given to asylum seekers by DoJ and they have to return it.. in your case, no documents apart from gnib, photos and fees are required..

are you located in dublin by any chance?
