Thanks a ton to all contributors & bloggers of this forum. You all Saved my 1200 quids (solicitor fee + VAT Tax)
My first and last advice to all new ILR aspirants..
*********************Keep your application as "SIMPLE" as English alphabets***********************************
No extra cover letter is needed until or unless you have got something specific or very complex scenario to justify about your absences from UK ( > 180 days). Cover letter is just an extra burden .
My case :
Applicant - Self
Tier 2 - ICT (Issued in Nov,2009)
Got two extensions ( Dec 2012 & Sep 2014)
UK Absence days - 151 (All annual leaves)
Documents I submitted
• Dully Filled Application form SET (O)
• Two photographs
ORIGINALS & PHOTOCOPIES of below documents
• Passport
• Biometric Residence Permit Card
• A copy of previous Extension Biometric Residence Permit card.
• Attested Reference Letter from the Employer (for employment details and paid absences from UK)
• Last 12 Months Pay Slips (attested by my employer)
• LIUK Pass notification letter
• Point Based Calculator Summary
• University Degree (Original)
• Bank Statements (12 Months)
• P60s (5 years)
• Printout of SpreadSheet having Absence days from the UK
• Council Tax Bill (2014/15 )- For address proof
9:20 AM - Biometric was done & all Documents were submitted to the case worker.
10:05 AM - Documents ready for collection.
10:17 AM - I was out of building after checking my original documents (All photocopies were taken by case workers).
Additional Documents carried but not used .
• HMRC Self-Assessment statements
• E-Travel Tickets
• Payslips ( of annual leaves months)
After spending restless days in past one month, Now I am happy . And happy than ever .
All the best to new eligible ILR dreamers !!!
Stay blessed

subodh4341 @ Congratulations for your ILR . Is it P60 mandatory to submit for Tier 2 , In case of Tier 1 P60 is not Mandatory ? Kindly advise and revert back to us.

P60 Certificates are OPTIONAL.I used it only to show yearly consolidated tax deductions from my gross income. These documents might save Case workers time

Having all 5 years P60s is always good. But in case you don't have , you can always get Employment history from HMRC.

Dear All,
I have a question on the bank statement - I have online bank statement which i can print using a color printer and it bears my name; account number; the date of the statement; the financial institution’s name and logo.
Do I still need to get all these statements signed / attested by my Bank? I have requested the hard copy of the statement but I have been told by my bank that they will essentially do the same i.e. print the online copy using a color printer.
I have my appointment next week and not sure what to do next.
Thanks a lot

Printouts of Online Bank Statements & Payslips have to be attested.
And if you have got soft copies Employer reference letter & absence letter, Print Outs of these documents also need to be attested.
Make sure you get coloured printouts.

Yes , You need to have a letter from employer stating about your leaves & that should also say these leaves were fully paid.

Employer letter for absences need not be attested, as there is no mention in the policy guidance. However if absences are below , letter may not be required, But better to carry.
