Efrenirvana,

Well, at least that's something. If you are thinking about Northern Ireland, I think (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) once you get the Stamp 3, that should be sufficient to apply for an EEA Family Permit at the UK Embassy in Dublin.

EFrenirvana, and anyone else considering legal action after receiving refusal letter, please note you have to file a legal challenge within 3 months after receiving said letter. Otherwise you may not be eligible to challenge it under Irish law. That's what a solicitor here informed me.

I heard about someone who reapplied for their permission to remain denied after receiving it for one year.Ie. E.U/Non E.U spouse who was given a 1 year stamp 4, but now denied when the reapplied for it. So there's going to be a lot more people out of status than the 1100 couples quoted in the newspapers.

Could you shed some light for me as I am to reapply this week.
I find it hard to belive that residence can be revoked if first given :?
I will consult my lawyer on this.

Yes,my wife's colleague's husband who is Non-EEA was denied when they applied for an extension after the original 1 year stamp4 ran out because they hadn't lived elsewhere in the E.U. Go figure!

Lawyer can do it and I`d advise him to do that.
