Very Urgent - Salary SOC 2136

Post by mnaveed76 » Sun Nov 23, 2014 3:24 pm

Hi.

Tomorrow is my appointment for bio metrics and i just read that the salary for SOC Code for experienced should be at least £29,600 / year
and working hours should be 39 hours per week but my Sponsor has granted me salary £30,000 / year with working hours of 40 per week and same is written on COS summary sheet.

Some one please confirm me if my application stands a chance of rejection ?
Manci and other senior moderators please help!!!

Thanks.

You will need to work out your hourly salary and see if it is atleast or exceeds what's expected out of you.

your application will be refused as for 40 hours you need a salary of 40/39 * 29,600 = 30,359.

ask your sponsor to change either the hours or the salary by means of a sponsor note. If they are prepared to do this you'll also need to vary your application with the new details by writing to the HO.

The above can only be done before a decision is made on your application which will be some time after you have provided your biometric details - you need to act quickly

Thank you so much manci . I have canceled my previous appointment and requested for refund as I was confused. My employer is ready to add a sponsor note in COS mentioning the change in hours i.e from 40 to 39 .

1. Will HO allocate a new COS number or HO will approve this or some approvance is required after addition of sponsor note in COS or I can instantly create a new application ?

2. My employer has not included the URLs or any reference of where the job was posted in COS (RLMT ). Can they also include the URLs and other RLMT details in Sponsor note ?

3. Can you also please tell me how long does UKBA takes to refund submitted visa fees ?

I have the exact situation that my SOC code is 2136, and paid £30,000/annum, working 40 hrs a week.

However, my employer paid me bonus, and is reflected in my payslip. So far the paid bonus is £1500.

My question is, will my bonus be counted for calculation of my salary?

@mnaveed76
the CoS number remains the same and you can apply any time. Missing information in the original CoS can also bee added via a sponsor note. If the HO choose to check the CoS that will take place later.

Thanks Manci.

Another question. My actual COS code is 2132 (2000 version). Considering my job title, my instinct tell that it may be converted to 2136. However, my job duty could fall under 2139. In that case I could be safe in the salary part.

My question is, shall I ask my employer to qoute 2139 as my converted SOC code?

Will HO still say that my nearest SOC code is 2136 as 2136 is more suitable against my job title (.Net Developer)?
