Family permit is next to expire. EEA2 hasn't been received

Post by pachano » Thu Nov 20, 2014 11:27 am

Hello.
Very interesting the post in this forum. I have been reading many posts related with EEA2, which is our particular case.
Me (the husband): French national, employed
My wife: Venezuelan
Here is our timeline (by ourselves, no solicitors):

Arrived to UK: 05 August 2014, my wife with a family permit
Application sent to the HO: 08th September 2014
Application received by HO: 09th September 2014
COA received (with work permit, as we are married couple): 25th September 2014

Today (20th November of 2014): still waiting for the RC.........10 weeks and two days later......

Original application contents:
1. Original passports (both)
2. Original Letter of employment addressed to Home Office
3. Original Tenant Agreement with the name of both
4. Original Marriage certificate in spanish, translate in English in UK (original translation)

We decided to send more information last week (13th November 2014):
1. Private insurance for both of us
2. Payslip of husband
3. Business card of husband
4. Around 20 pictures of different occasions: wedding, travels, sharing with friends, etc.

Our concern is: Family permit is going to expire next January 19th 2015. Typical process for an EEA2 takes up to six months.

What would happen after family permit expires ? Is my wife able to stay in UK without any problem ? What would happen if we need to travel after the famiy permit expires?

Thanks in advance for your comments....

Family permit expiration is only in relation to entry clearance and its 'expiry' will not prejudice her lawful residence in UK.

Good day.
