I spoke to them today again...but guess what...the same reply...'under processing and no decision has been made'....i asked them if this goes on like this for 6 months what do I do...they said' you write to us'...:) and so I am not sure what is that SLA there for...how it ever helps applicants as in a 'decision must be made within a month after elapse of 6 months'..i.e., withing 7 months...

@fufuo.
all they are trying to do depending on whom you speak with though, because from experience some of them would want to give you as little information as possible until the 6month timeline I would think.

I have called them a total of three times since I submitted my application via a solicitor. Infact I just spoke with my solicitor today and she confirmed to me that she has started receiving feedbacks on others whom she had processed there application about the same time she did mine. She assured me that my case is one of the easiest and straightforward ones and there is no cause for concern...that she expects to receive mine any time soon.

So its just a waiting game..I tend to console myself by visiting the forum and reading up the post by others.. :D

But what I don't understand is, surely they have set regulations over what they can/cannot disclose over phone enquiries. It shouldn't be up to the person taking the call. If someone was 'allowed' to tell me yesterday that a letter was sent, why would someone today say otherwise? I think from now on I will stop calling until 6 months have passed if it gets to that. These enquires cause little more than frustration and unnecessary anxiety.

akhurshid wrote:Just an update on my application. I received approval an 7th and booked the ceremony straight away for 25th(today). I never received my ceremony invite. I phoned the registrar last Thursday and I was told not to worry about it as my name is on the list.
Turned up for ceremony today only to find out I am not on the list. Registrar was very good and helping. After I explained everything, she asked me to wait while she looks for my certificate. It was eventually found and given to me at the end of ceremony.
Posted my passport application straight away so wait starts again :-)
Congrats @akhurshid!
You deserve it mate. My PS is tomorrow too to be officially made a BC.

You have to send all original documents.
Sent a paper application form, 3 passports, fee leaflet, photos and certificate.
Had everything ready with me this morning when I went for ceremony. Next stop was post office.

I did the exactly the same. Applied on the 20th and received text today to say they've received my application. Went straight after the ceremony

I called twice and was assured a decision had been made and printed off. Called today to confirm whether it had been sent. The person told me nothing had been printed or sent off, application is still under consideration... How come there's a discrepancy in the information provided? Are they not all subject to seeing the same information regarding the progress of an application?
