Applying through SET (M) - Absence from UK

Post by Gazelle » Wed Nov 26, 2014 1:58 pm

Long time reader, first time poster here.

I’m taking my wife to PEO Croydon for a SET (M) ILR appointment in a few days. Everything is in order but there’s one doubt troubling me.

During the 2-year probation period, we were out in the UAE for 128 days in one stint due to my job. Now, I know that there are no set time limits on SET (M) for being out of the UK, but it is down to discretion.

Does my scenario sound like there is a good chance of success?

Any thoughts on this one folks?

I am wondering if our case is still straightforward enough and if there is anything I should include in her application to help.

Thanks.

Guys,

My question is probably not the most difficult, certainly not more than some I've seen here. I would really appreciate some insight. Appointment is in a few days and I'll post the result here in the relevant sticky.
