Send a letter stating the correct information. I did a similar mistake, on a date, and sent them a letter. I got mine approved.
You can also phone and ask the customer care. They will give you the best advice.

Elena1 wrote:I have recently submitted my SET (O). Here's my timeline:

Application submitted : 31/10/2014 (Royalmail special delivery)
Received by HO: 3/11/2014
Money taken from card: 4/11/2014
Received acknowledgement letter: 11/11/2014 (dated 4/11/2014)
Email acknowledgement: 20/11/2014
Received Biometric letter: 21/11/2014 (dated 18/11/2014)
Enrolled Biometric details: 21/11/2014
(And the waiting begins.)

I've just found out that I ticked the wrong column on the type of accommodation I live in. I rented from a private housing association but I ticked 'privately rented by you'. How will this affect my application? and how can I correct it? Does anyone have this experience?

Also, I'm self-employed. Are applications from self-employeds usually take longer than others?

Thnanks, tinytrott. Who did you address to? I have only the address of the Liverpool office and I suppose this is the one to write to. I don't know who is my case worker.

Thanks,
hi. I don't think HO send any emails unless we ask something or they want to query about anything. They prefer writing to applicant rather than emails.
Well..You are wrong..They do send emails. I received same today.

Thank you Faisy
The approval date mentioned on the letter is 22/11/2014 which means they work on saturday as well
It was employed and self employed both .
According to my calculations and understanding by looking at your application date you will receive your approval within 10-15 working days . Relax your approval is not too far .

Thank you

Thanks again. Yes, I called the help desk and spoke to someone after a long wait. I was told to write to the address on the biometric letter, which I did. I checked this morning and saw that my letter has been signed by the receiving end, Thanks for your help.

GOT ILR today only change was I put in expedite request due to my Father having a stroke in New Zealand. So I think that made things quicker, I got no letter to say they got my expediate request etc. But today got all docs back etc and now just waiting card etc.

Date of application: 11/09/2014
Date of application received at HO: Sent Recorded Delivery 12/9/14
Confirmation Letter Dated 15/9/14
Check Cleared 18/9/14
Confirmation Letter Received 19/9/14
Sent Expedite request 10th November Approx
Docs back 4th Dec 2014.

So glad all of this is over, Ive been Tier One Entrepreneur and the amount of records and paperwork etc and the hoops has been very stressful. I didn't really find any good immigration people I would pay the fees to for their advice and did all applications myself.

Best of luck to you all.

Hello Guys,

I am about to apply for SET M and I was wondering if any of you can tell me if I would have to retake IELTS if have already applied using it for spouse visa and was successful. But since then IELTS recommended date has expired.

Do I have retake the english test for SET M or can I use the same certificate?

Many thanks!

If there's an expiry you'll need to redo it. It seems as if your English is quite good, so if I were you I would book through the trinity website, you'll need the B1 certificate. I don't know why people waste time doing IELTS tests, when all you need is the A1/B1 etc tests.

Thanks but I have heard that If I have used my certificate previously (in my case IELTS) and if my application was successful then I dont need to retake my any english tests?

Can you please confirm or anyone else can confirm?

Thanks
