I wonder if someone could help me here.
I came to UK on 11 December 2004 on student visa. Extended student visa on time until 2008.
Around 24th August 2008 I applied for my student visa extension which were expiring on 31 august 2008. Home Office refused it in November 2008 so I appealed in immigration tribunal and lost (Feb 2009) and further appealed to upper tribunal for administrative review but had no success again (March 2009). Later appealed in the high court and in May 2009 I had my appeal rejected. I was told by my solicitor to make a fresh application which I did within 28 days from the high court letter and thankfully Home Office accepted my application for student visa. All my appeals were made on time but I am not sure if this gap from August 2008 to June 2009 would be considered as 'legal / lawful' (All the above applications / appeals were made from the UK)
And let me know if I need to mention this anywhere on SET (LR) if I am eligible for ILR.

Thank you.

Mitul

It's now been 14 weeks since HO have had my application and no output. I sent a prepaid SD envelope which is not tracking yet.

Congrats to all those who are receiving their ILRs but it worries me that HO are still working on 1st week Aug applicants at the same time as 3rd/4th week applicants.

I'll see if I can call them at some point to see what are they up to.

I would suggest you to wait for a Monday next week and then give them a ring to discuss the status of your case and their weekly status.

It looks like HO is assigning applications to case workers on week by week basis. So it is up to the case workers that how long are they taking on each application and also it is dependant on the complexity of application.

Field drive .... I'm not sure if its worth or not give them a call and atleast they will tell you if the application is assigned to case worker and if they say no you can always say that people who applied 10 days after me have received why is that your application is not assigned .... sometimes a little push will make things work ;-) or atleast you will relieved that its been assigned to case worker ;-) .

If I were you I will call ;-) and when you call just ask is my application assigned to case worker or not and which date it was assigned .

Thanks

Just called UKVI and the man answering my call said he doesn't have the info about whether my application is assigned to caseworker or not. All he knows is they are considering applications submitted in August. Anyone has better luck to find anything more useful?
