Online application - spouse visa

Post by i.need.help » Mon Dec 01, 2014 12:07 am

Firstly, can I complete the online application for my wife, I'm in the UK and she's in Pakistan. After completing, print it, pay the fees, book the appointment and my wife then signs the application declaration form.

I'm going Pakistan soon, so I'll take the completed printed application with me.

After registering on https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk it gives you two options….

Apply for Myself and Apply for Someone Else.

As I am living in the UK, can I complete the application and press "Confirm form" or does she have to fill it in and hit send (confirm form)?

You can complete it as though you are her - just select Apply for Myself.

Thanks.

Can someone help me with some of the questions please.

On the first page of the form under Travel Information question says…

"Are you travelling with anyone?" YES, NO. I put NO - is this answer ok?

Because under the Spouse/Partner section it says…

"Will your spouse/partner be travelling with you" YES, NO - I put YES. (should i put yes or no)

Then under the Sponsor Details section one of the questions says…

Is your sponsor going to be travelling with you to the UK? YES, NO - I put YES

Only I can be the spouse and the sponsor, right? So why is the visa application asking the same question again and again in a different way?

Another question says.. When did they arrive in the UK? This is referring to the sponsor. I was Born in the UK and I live in the UK so if I put my date of birth will they understand? The only option is to enter a date.
