Original Parrport/Biometric or Copies

Hi,

I am applying for my son leave to remain under Tier 1 General Dependent as I am planning to travel. I just need to confirm, if I have to send original Passport/Biometric of parents with the application or copies for Passports/Biometric will be fine.
