Post by yaakovnewman » Sun Dec 07, 2014 10:28 pm

Hi
I am a British national currently working as a contractor in Hannover Germany My wife lives in London and still hold a Pakistani nationality she is applying for German Schengen visa to come and live with me until March 15, while filling the form we found out on the day of her appointment she need original spouse (mine) passport along with her, I never came across any thing like this before. As there any one out here who faced this before .
I got an official invitation letter from Council here along with other documents

You could tell them its illegal to stay in Germany without a valid passport. Brits don't have a ID-card.
