Hello Guys

I received by british citizenship approval on 05th Dec 2014. I need to arrange for oath ceremony but problem is that I am travelling to US on 22nd Dec 2014 and returning on 05th Jan 2015. Can you please suggest if I can go for ceremony before my travel on 22nd Dec and travel to US on my Indian passport?

In other words, how long I can travel on Indian passport after becoming british citizen?

You can travel upto 3months on your indian passport from the date of approval of British citizenship. But worth checking the indian embassy website.

Hi everyone

I read the posts here of when people get their approval and it normally says the day they've received it and the (date of approval).
Do we receive any EMAIL of when it's approved or do we all receive the same LETTER dated back of when it was approved?

I received an EMAIL of acknowledgment shortly after I sent my application and the letter arrived later.

Please enlighten me.
