I applied first week of August and still nothing. Has anyone with an EU application heard anything? It is ridiculous now. I will be calling next month for sure if I haven't received anything in December.

Just wanted to know if anyone applied for Naturalisation in August 2014 and received the approval letter to book ceremony.

Mine is more than 19 working weeks and no update yet from HO.

Hi I have the same point. I call to Home office , its more than 6 months, I apply in June . They said to me please wait , can take few weeks more as now is double applications

I followed this forum almost everyday but yesterday I got really frustrated when I saw May and June applicants still waiting to hear from the HO. So finally I decided to call HO yesterday (23 Dec). The lady on the phone was nice but she only asked me about time period of my application (4 months) and if I have changed my address. She never asked me for reference number of my application or anything. She then said that I have to wait for six months and if there is anything wrong with my application then HO will contact me straight away.

I have got the letter now (24 Dec with dated 11 Dec). My application was not very straight forward and after looking at May and June applicants, I was expecting the decision on my application in six months time if not more. But here we go!

I called my Council to book a private ceremony this morning and still waiting to hear from them about the date and time. But the real milestone has been achieved. I have got my PhD qualification i.e. British citizenship . I can truly celebrate the Xmas break and new year.

For those who are still waiting, be patience guys and don't think too much about your citizenship. Just carry on with you work and the letter will arrive one day

I got a question which I'm hoping someone can help me to answer it pls.after sending few letter to MP I got a letter from UKVI customer service which signed with pen and not print or copy by the head of department which got it yesterday..in that letter first mentioned letters I sent with dates of sending them and apologiesd for delaying to answer to me..after saying about they're rules and time frames and blah blah blah in first page then in second page saying (((I can confirm however that you're application allocated to the case worker nw and is actively under consideration.you will be notified of the outcome of this consideration shortly)))
Nw my question is do u think this letter is it same as all the automated answers we heard all this time or it's really means something and by saying shortly they gone make the answer hw long do u think they mean..if any of u had a same letter or knows someone got this answer can u pls tell me what happened after this answer and hw long after that they sent the outcome or noting happened and it's just same thing as usual to keep us quiet?....tnx

That indicates 80 calendar days. so that's around 4 months average time if they're telling the truth! I've been waiting 5 months so far!

Dear everyone,

I received letter from homeoffce today that....following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target.

Following recent clarification of the Nationality rules greater levels of scrutiny will be applied to certain applications. This will be dependent on certain indicators within their immigration history that pre-date the application for British Citizenship.

Your case has been identified as such a case and will not be decided within 6 months.

We expect to make a decision on your application within 3-6 months, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible. Please note we will contact you with further update and can advice you do not need to contact us again unless your circumstance change significant.

What did homeoffice mean by information above, can someone clarify it for me.
