Passport application query

Post by neo.kap » Sun Dec 14, 2014 2:40 pm

Hi,

I have following query for passport application form

1. Applicatint's previous name doesnt fit into to boxes provided in the application form (form has 30 boxes, previous name is longer than that). Same with Parents names.

whaht should I do?

a. should I write only 30 chars in the boxes provided and remaining chars in section 8? if I do this then how they know in section 8 which boxes are for which section?

In this case it may be best to include a cover note with your application.

Better yet, call the passport adviceline:

Passport Adviceline
Telephone: 0300 222 0000
From outside the UK: +44 (0)300 222 0000
Textphone: 18001 0300 222 0222
Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm
Weekends and public holidays, 9am to 5:30pm

Good luck

One more query,

Is it a must to send my foreign country passport as in Original when I am applying for passport using post office check and send?

I will send my naturalization certificate anyway.

I am asking as I am planning to travel out of UK for 2 weeks.

You should send your passport. Why not apply for the British passport when you return from your trip.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
