Jobseeker Rights

Post by ie.fam » Fri Dec 19, 2014 3:22 pm

Posting on behalf of my Friend .. Please Help

I am an EU (Slovak) Citizen. I got married in Ireland to a Non EU Citizen in November 2005. I never worked in Ireland (due to my poor English I couldn't get a job).

I was registered in Revenue / Tax office as house wife / spouse (married) from November 2005 to November 2012 (7 years) then we got divorced. I was studying English in a college in Dublin for 2 years from 2010 to 2012. Then from January 2013 I started working part time in a restaurant an average of 10 hours per week only, but I never claimed jobseeker benefits (not even part time jobseeker).

I want to know can I claim part time jobseeker benefits with my 10 hours a week job? Is there any restriction or problem for me getting that?

My History as an EU (Slovak) Citizen is:
House Wife = 7 Years (2005 to 2012)
Student = 2 Years (2010 to 2012)
Part Time Working = 2 Years (January 2013 to January 2015)
