Tier 1 200 k rule clarification

Hello,

I am in the UK. I have a masters degree from UK and 3 years work experience in finance.

My query is regarding a fresh 200k application. I want to apply joining an existing business as a director.

Q1 - I have a cousin who has come to the UK on the 200k route with 3-4 directors. Can I join their company as a director? What are the requirements that I need to fulfill apart from joining their firm as a director. Their firm's business is something to do with electrical Spam.

Q2- If there is a company operating in the UK (not on a 200k investment visa) can I join that firm as a director? Does the company have to meet certain criteria ?

Kindly request you to reply with the requirements in simple terms as the application guidance is slightly confusing and too many rules.
