long term visa for parent

Hi my mum is staying with me on a 6 month holiday visa.
she is 53yrs old and has no relatives in her home country and im the only child.
I was wondering if theres any way for her to extend her stay for longer, to 2.5 years perhaps?
or how would i be able to take this matter further?
any suggestions please?

visitor visas across the board are only valid for 6 months and no re-entry is allowed again till another 6 months have elapsed.there is no chance a visitor visa can be extended to 2.5 years-no chance.sorry but as it stands she can only stay for 6 months in any one year.
