Tier 1 Extension - Help Needed

Post by ade76 » Wed Dec 31, 2014 3:45 pm

Hello All,

Help wanted!!!

I applied for my initial Tier 1 visa on 9th of July 2010 and received it on 30th July 2010. Came into the UK 2nd October 2010. My challenge now is that I will be due for ILR 2015 but have long absence total 283 which is 103 days more than the accepted 180 days between November 2012 and August 2013. Can I seek for another extension or I will not stand a chance of getting it since my absences are for personal family issues.

Advice on how to proceed is desperately needed please....

Hi Ade 76,

If you meet the Points Criteria i.e. 100 Points then you can get an Extention.

I assume that you came back to UK after long absence in Aug 2013. Therefore your ILR will be due in aug 2018. while granting of ILRs will be stopped in April 2018. I belive your concern is that 'Even if they give you an extension what will happen at ILR Stage?' Will you get ILR? Is that your question really?

Thanks for the response. The absence falls in one calender year with two weeks breaks in between making it 113 days and 170 days. Thats the challenge. Is it possible to go for further extension?
