Croydon PEO ILR Success Story 2nd Jan 2015

Post by yoyo2015 » Fri Jan 02, 2015 10:19 pm

Hi All,

This forum has been a real helping hand for me while arranging my application for ILR.

My application was approved today so just sharing my experience as it may help others as well.

I completed 5 years on HSMP+Tier-1. Below are the documents I submitted.

payslips + employer letter
bank statements
Life in the uk test
Absences from the UK self written sheet (I had the employer reference letter of absences but didnt submit, though I carried the ref letter with me, so incase if CW had asked me I would have provided them the letter without any problem).

& Photocopy of all above documents including passports

I preferred to kept things simple rather confusing CW by flooding them with unnecessary documents. :-) - Although I carried all p60s , 5 year payslips, previous employers ref letters, degree, transcripts, extra pictures and all random documents but I didnt submit any of these, I just carried them as incase I am being asked to provide any further information. By the grace of God all worked well :-)

The Croydon PEO staff was pleasant and courteous.
Waiting area has LCD screens all over to keep an eye on your token number
Waiting area also has Child Play Area & Multi Faith Prayer Room

Closest Parking options are:
NCP 3+ hours whole day £8.40
(Near) Sainsbury £5.50 whole day

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Hi,

I submitted 12 payslips

I didnt submit any language proof as evidence (uk degree) was provided at the time of previous t1 application.

IMHO If you havnt provided evidence before than degree + uni letter confirm degree was taught in English should be sufficient.
Also please verify point using PBS calculator

Hi,
I had a quick question. When tabulating the abscences out of UK, which date should be entered as date left UK? For example if I flew out of Uk on 12 th Oct night and landed in another country on 13th Oct which is stamped in my passport, which date should I enter in section 6.2 as date left UK?Would it be 12th or 13th.Could you please clarify?

you can find a template here in excel which will calculate the days in and out
try searching for 39616849-Example-Days-Away.xls

you need to write 12th if you flew out on the 12th well that is what I am doing?

Q17 - How to count absences from UK?
The specified continuous period is counted backwards from the date of the ILR application. For example, if the date of application is 11 November 2012, the consecutive periods would be as follows:
Year 1 - 11 November 2012 to 10 November 2011
Year 2 - 11 November 2011 to 10 November 2010
Year 3 - 11 November 2010 to 10 November 2009
Year 4 - 11 November 2009 to 10 November 2008
Year 5 - 11 November 2008 to 10 November 2007

Absences are counted in "whole days". Day(s) of departure and arrival are not to be included when calculating (total) days of absence. Bank / public holidays and weekends are to be included in absences if one was absent from UK on such days.

I am having following queries in SET O form under section 6 and 7

Section 6.1 when did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK?
Through Work permit first I entered UK on 27-Sep-2007 and I was working on Work permit for 2 years and went back to India From India I applied for Tier1 General Visa on 27-March 2009 and I came back to UK on 18-June-2009 and continuously staying in UK on Tier1 1 general Visa.
I am bit confused which date to be mention in this section 27-Sep-2007 or 18-June-2009

Section 6.2 any absences from the UK
For my ILR application I am considering my 5 years calculation from 04-March-2010 to 03-March-2015. Under this section I am providing the absence details during this period. Is it ok or I needed to provide the absence details from my first entry to UK (i.e. 27-Sep-2007)

Section 7.11: how long lived in UK
First time I entered to UK was on 27-Sep-2007.
Please let me know whether I need to calculate the number of years lived from 27-Sep-2007.
In the table whether I need to mention all my absence from 27-Sep-2009 or I need to mention only the my last 5 years absence in the list

Could you please clarify the above queries at earliest

Thanks!

Samy
