TIER-2 (GENERAL) ,ADVICE NEEDED!!

Post by muhilana » Tue Jan 06, 2015 5:41 pm

Hii to all,
I am going to apply for Tier-2(general) on 16/01/15 After the approval of my restricted COS.My starting date of employment
is on 02/02/15 as mentioned in restricted COS.
1)Is it fine to apply by post when only having two weeks of
time before my employment?
OR
2)should i go for Premium service since having less time?
OR
3)Will my visa be refused since i have very less time before the starting date of my employment?
OR
4) Do we have to amend the starting date in my restricted COS

(Since i am already in the same job and working for the same
employer I have no issue if i get the visa even after a month
or so,And my current visa expire on july'15).

I look forward your valuable suggestion for the questions above
Thanks in advance

You must apply online from your home country.

Since you'll have to submit your passport it would be advisable to use a premium service (if there is one in the home country) so that you can return to the UK to resume your work asap.

Fine to apply in country as you are a tier 4 dependent case.
Based on your circumstances I would do a postal application as it is cheaper and given you are in country it is not a case you need a visa to enter or allow a right to work.

Your current visa status and therefore right to work is maintained under the immigration act para 3c until the decision is made on your new application. This applies as long as you apply before your current visa expiry date.
So as long as you ensure your application is with the HO then you continue as is. Hence no need to do premium service.
Start date on COS should be on or before visa expiry date.

Thank you. But,Is it fine for visa processing time if i post my visa application (tier 2 G) just before two weeks of my starting date of my employment that mentioned in my Restricted COS.Will my visa be considered by the case officer since employee starting due date is only two weeks.because visa processing time takes 4 to 8 weeks as per UKVI.
Please suggest.Thanks

It is fine, you are over thinking the problem.
There is not an issue.
