Well, well, well, it looks that everybody is on the same boat, no?
I have applied on 27th of November and they got my documents on the next day. I needed my passport to travel so they sent it back on the 10th of December and the only letter I got was that they were returning the documents and with my INIS number. So, if we bear in mind that from 24th Dec., till 4th January they were closed, it means that almost two weeks they did not work, so it is taking 5 weeks now.
I have sent many e-mails but it seems that they give an automatic response. The last e-mail I sent was 5 days ago and this was the reply:
"Dear Bruno Cavalcanti,
Your application was received in this office on 28/11/2014.
Applications are processed in chronological order. Due to the volume of
applications on hand, it may take a further 3-5 weeks from the date of
receipt before a response is issued from this office. Once your documents
have been processed, they will be returned to you and any outstanding
documents will be requested.
Best regards,

To be honest I have no hope that they will send it this week. It is going to take more than 5 weeks, which is very frustrating because I need to find a job and it is quite annoying every time you travel going through immigration (in Ireland) and they keep asking the same things, like: Why you don't have a GNIB card, who's your partner, for how long have you been here and etc.
