Hi
I will be completing 4 years 11 months in month of Oct 04(WP category) after which I will apply for ILR. Need a help regarding application of my spouse.
We got married in Nov 04 and she joined me in Dec 04.
Can I apply her Permanent Residency (ILR) on same form as I am applying for my self(in Oct 04) or do I need to fill a separate form?
Does her absences from UK to be considered/recorded anywhere?
I tried to search for similar question on forum but not got any. Any help is appreciated
Cheers

If she is on a dependent's visa, then she can be included in your ILR application, once you qualify. She needs to do the Life in the UK Test also.

Does it say on the application form? (sorry, no time for me to check!). I'm not sure, maybe wait for someone else to reply!

No, this shouldn't be a problem. The only think that might caused raised eyebrows is if you have spent so much time apart the Home Office doubts the nature of the relationship.

A dependant spouse may join a main application vertually days before the main applicant applies for ILR. There is no problem with that.
The only problem for a dependant will be her Naturalization application with its strict out of the UK abscence rule.

Shouldn't be a problem in this situation because as soon as husband becomes a British citizen, wife can then apply under the 3 year rule.
