English Test confusion

Post by freemind76 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 7:30 pm

Hi,

I am going for ILR coming March 15. I am bit confused we (my spouse and myself) need to pass English test for ILR?

Main Candidate:- My master's and bachelor's degree are recognised on PBS and points are getting awarded.

Dependent: My spouse's master's and bachelor's degree are recognised on PBS and points are getting awarded.

Questions:

1: I need to take English test? If NOT, what documents do I need to show to prove English?
2: Does my wife need to take English test? If NOT, what documents does she need to show to prove English?

The main point is did you and your wife scored 10 points in PBS for English language skills ,apart from the degree recognition (degree abroad is comparable here in UK) from the PBS Calculator?

If the ans. is YES ,then get the printout from the PBS and get a Letter from Naaric for language assessment.
OR
IF you wish, you can have both the statement of compatibility & language assessment both from Naaric.

IF you and your dependent get points for master's (35) or bachelor's degree (30 ) plus if the calculator give you 10 points for English level then a print out of PBC is sufficient.

Thanks
