Well strange things are happening around us like people moving back from thrid stage to second stage but lets hope for the best this year and also I think there is a strong chance that we`ll miss the Jan ceremony now and I am not sure when the next ceremony will be held .....

Saad - I was asking the forum in this thread. What is the usual gap between ceremonies? is it safe to say that its usually two months and we can guess its end of march for the next one?

I do think INIS have quite a backlog now because of christmas, so probably alot of applications are waiting for approvals

Citizenship Ceremony takes place at an average of 2 - 3 months. So the next ceremony would be around late March or early April 2015.

My wife got her invitation to the ceremony on January 23rd this morning. We have two small children (one 10 months old) , can we bring them to the event, the letter only talks about one adult? Thanks.

emannuel.. the minister will sign the applications next week and they will send approvals following jan 23.. I think you will have yours Jan 28th!

Ps thats a guess based on Paddy's and Mary's behaviour in INIS and not bible.. take it with a bench of salt :)

emmanuel Im joking about exact date, but serious about when you would hear from them.. they wont update you before last 10 days of Jan (on/after the ceremony) as they dont send any approvals until ceremony date (or prior to it by 2 or 3 days)

Hi guys,

Today I received a letter saying
"......blah...blah.....blah....the minister intends to grant your application for a certificate of naturalisation...blah...blah...blah.."

and asking me to submit €950 and two photos, my question is, Is this the letter of approval?

If yes, then I received it, today Sat 17th January 2015, letter was signed on 14th January 2015

From what I understood by looking at previous post nobody knows for sure.I remember I read about somebody giving them a ring and was told that their file was with the minister and that could take WEEKS and that poster also wandered what WEEKS meant....

guys YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND ONE THING
THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE EMPLOYEES ARE WORKING MORE THAN HARD THESE DAYS AS THEY NEVER GAVE A HEAT BEFORE
NO ONE CAN SUPERVISE THEM AND FOR YEARS THEY CONSIDERED WASHING THEIR FACES IN THE MORNING AND DRIVING THEIR FANCY CARS GOING TO WORK IS THE MAIN AND ONLY JOB THEY DO NOTHING TO DO WITH FILES AND THEY CAN'T BE COUNTED FOR WHAT SO EVER WHAT SO EVER ..... IF THEY GOT TIME THEY WOULD LOOK AT YOUR FILES AND IF NOT THEN NEXT CHANCE .... THAT WAS FOR YEARS THEIR LIFE JOB IS ONLY TO GO TO WORK NOTHING ELSE AND NOW THEY ISSUE THOUSANDS OF CERTS EVERY FEW MONTH AND IF YOU PASS YOUR TIME LINE YOU START TO JUMP AND SCREAM. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS ALL THE RIGHTS ARE THEIRS YOU ONLY HAVE DUTIES, TAX AND FEES . THEN SHUT UP
