Online verfication conducted: 12th december
Escalate case: 20th january 2014
Processed email: 21st january 2014
Concluded email ref 176xxx 21st january

Mentor_89 wrote:Salam Guys,

I have been a silent reader for a month or so. I think this forum is brilliant as the collective knowledge of all the members provides us who are waiting with hope. My wife gave her application into Islamabad on 22/10/14. She received a phone call this morning to come and collect tomorrow. I have only received one email but that email is from VFS global and goes like this

From : VFS GLOBAL
To: GWFXXXXXXXXX

Application received from the post CRM : 00XXXXX

Dear XXXXXX,

The processed visa application for GWF Reference number GWFXXXXXXXXX was received at the UK visa application centre on 1/20/2015.

If a courier service was purchased from VFS global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address.

If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times.

There is a ref number but it does not begin with 1761.. I did not get any other emails. I am really confused. Does this sound like bad news? Also does anyone know the collection times?

Thanks in advance for any replies and info

Mentor_89
Wasalaam Mentor,

Praying its good new for you and your wife! So did you not get any emails from BHC at all to say processed or concluded??

Hi Rudey,

Nope! Thats the odd thing. Nothing whatsoever from BHC. No emails / contact since the day i applied. Just the email from VFS Global and the call from Gerrys. Thank you for the messages of support everyone. Dos anyone know the collection times from Islamabad??
Document collection 8am-5pm

This request has been asked many times before, in my opinion many members feel it is more convenient to repeat their time line again and again rather than putting it up once as a signature.

Salam everyone. My wife visa was rejected due to bank statement being over 28 days old. I am confirming this though.

My question is should I appeal or do a new case?

Also what would appeal time lines be?

Thank you

I think u should make new application this is because the time they take has improved and it takes 12 weeks. So u could hear quicker then appealing and getting a hearing date etc.

@Tallojani- I may have missed this but can you please advise how to create the signature thing as it will make everyone life easier if we all have this

I know you must have told this many times but can you advise once again

Hi Shankar,

As you must be aware of the 28 days rule, just wanted to clarify that does the financial documents need to be within 28 days of the online application ? or the day when we submit the documents ?

Sorry to read the visa has been rejected- my case was very similar as my latest wage slip fell outside of the 28 day requirement but I would advise that you make a fresh application if you already have most of the documentation- it will take a lot less time than an appeal

Hi I have another question, hope someone can help me.

I emailed today for the 1st time to ask about the status of the spouse visa application and after submitting the email it said that you will receive an email to confirm that they have received the my email and that it will take 1 working day to hear from them.

The thing is that I haven't received an email yet from them confirming that they have received my email.

How long does it usually take to receive the email stating that its been received?

Thank you

I just got the reply from them, it only took 2-Hours :)

This is what I got back :

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWFXXXXXXXXX and date of birth
XX/XX/XXXX) and found that there are no current updates. This could be
because your application was submitted recently or the details that you
have provided above are incorrect.

So I'm guessing they haven't even opened our application :(
