Hi All,

i tried searching the form but cannot find any info about this

The condition is i am travelling to UK on Tier 2 ICT Short Term 12 months in Jan end. The visa is issued last week.
I will be taking my wife along with me on Tier 2 ICT Short Term Partener - Dependent visa to UK.
She is currently working and has resigned from her company in india.

My question is - if she is eligible to work in UK on dependent visa? ???
Either on contract or permanent basis ? ???

She has NI number from here previous travel ...

Yes, she can work on her dependent visa. Chances of permanent job is less since the visa is valid only for a year. But, she can do contract work provided she finds one.

Look around the gov.uk site. The info should be there somewhere. Also, if you see the visa stamping, it would have mentioned she can work except as doctor or dentist. There are folks here whose dependents are working in UK legally. Should not be an issue.

for the above case what if an employer in the sponsor list agrees to sponsor for a permanent role. am in the process of getting one and would like to know and understand the best options.
