Language Requirment

I'm applying for Citizenship - I'm a South African, with a Matric Qualification for English as a second Language, grade C. Besides South Africa is part of the Commonwealth - do I need to take a UK language test? If so, is there an easy way to do so as my English is very good and I would only need to do a test or something to prove it.

I believe you have to take the test as South Africa is not a majority English speaking country.
