Do I need to get sponsorship letter notarised?

Hi

I am going to sponsor my mother to visit UK and I need to send a sponsorship letter. Do I need to get this sponsorship letter notarised? It is going to me cost approx. 40 pounds so I thought I ask if it is necessary.

notarised sponsorship letter is not a requirement.
usually you should send the original letter but for many just scanned copy worked too.
