hi , i would like to know if they grant the visa for the date that i wrote on the form for the question : On which date do you wish to travel to the UK. ?? thank you .

They can but unless you applied well in advance of that date they usually grant it for the date it was issued.

do they stamp it from the month i wish to travel? for example if i want to leave to UK after the school year of my daughter here in canada so it wud be preferable to get the six months visa from july til december. but i also would like to apply in advance to know if its a YES or NO before planning everything. thank you
